End of Fall 2006 Semester

Baruch CollegeThis Wednesday was the last day of classes for me. I still have 2 more tests to take next week, and then I’ll be free until the end of January. For our last communications class we were supposed to tell a joke. I found a couple of funny ones on the Internet. Here is one of them:
Bill Clinton, Al Gore, and George W. Bush were set to face a firing squad in a small Central American country. Bill Clinton was the first one placed against the wall and just before the order was given he yelled out, “Earthquake!” The firing squad fell into a panic and Bill jumped over the wall and escaped in the confusion.

Al Gore was the second one placed against the wall. The squad was reassembled and Al pondered what he had just witnessed. Again before the order was given Al yelled out, “Tornado!” Again the squad fell apart and Al slipped over the wall.

The last person, George W. Bush, was placed against the wall. He was thinking, “I see the pattern here, just scream out something about a disaster and hop over the wall.” He confidently refused the blindfold as the firing squad was reassembled. As the rifles were raised in his direction he grinned from ear to ear and yelled, “Fire!”
The first semester in American College was moderately hard – mostly because of the language. I feel the definite improvement though in both my communication and writing skills. My favorite teacher this semester was, probably, English 2100 professor Barbara Schreiber. She is really caring and sweet; at the same time she is pretty demanding with homework assignments (that helped me to fight with my lazy self).

The life after the actual marriage hasn’t changed. I guess, that’s because we’ve already lived like a family and had that special mentality of a married couple. mrgreen

We started looking for an apartment to buy in hopes to find something nice and affordable. The prices are crazy though!!! Our aim is junior 4 or 2-bedroom coop somewhere in Sheepshead Bay or Bensonhurst. Maruks are also looking for approximately the same deal, so we exchange information with them and this makes the process easier. We talked to a Chase representative about a mortgage and need to check other banks as well.
