Early on Monday morning we drove out to Mesa Verde National Park. The interesting thing about this park, besides beautiful landscapes is the collection of buildings in the cliffs built by ancient Indians.

After the park we made a small stop at Dolores, CO for more stamps and took of in the direction of missed opportunities. Like I said before we missed Four Corners. So we figured we’ll back track a little bit and will take a longer route to Moab.

I started to get nostalgic about taking macro pictures, and since I didn’t have any good subjects I decided to look through my archives of raw images. I found a good picture, did some post processing and ended up liking the result.

Later on I noticed macro-selfs reflecting in the drops.

Почему-то накатила грусть. Я запустила скрипичную тему из “Списка Шиндлера”, которая пробирает до самых костей - от неё хочется плакать и одновременно улыбаться.

В последнее время я очень много думаю о том, как найти работу. Честно говоря, мне очень страшно. Наверное, это естественно. Иногда я ловлю себя на мысли, что многие люди моего возраста в отличие от меня уже добились определённых успехов в карьере, но стараюсь не бичевать себя слишком сильно за задержки.

Мне уже почти 27 лет. Чувствую я себя намного моложе. Когда-то 25-летние женщины и мужчины казались такими сильными и зрелыми, 45-летние - увядающими, а 60-летние - мудрыми и древними. Только теперь я понимаю, что во многих отполированных временем телах живут такие молодые и трепетные души.

Today we had a mission. Drive out of the city to some place nice and find some autumn colors to capture on “film”. The trees in New York City just refuse to go yellow. Most of them are still green, some are ugly orange, nothing nice.

We woke up early (by weekend standards), picked up Ignat and drove all the way to Seven Lakes via Palisades Parkway — about 60 miles to the north of the city. Sadly for us the sun didn’t want to play our game — it was hiding behind the dark gray clouds. It’s upsetting, but we did the best we could with the available light and sky color.

I just looked through the pictures and there are definitely captures that makes the whole trip worth it. Not to mention the fact that the autumn does look beautiful up there.

I’ll post more pictures later as I have the time to go through them and make adjustments.

Спасибо! Мне она тоже нравится. Но я до сих пор расстраиваюсь из-за серого неба. Те фотки на которых небо видно можно выкинуть - мерзкая серость все портит.

Ну.. не знаю, не видела.
С одной строны может это и интересный контраст - налитая светом и цветом осенняя природа и просто серое небо.
А может можно … ну не знаю, как-нибудь придать цвет? Или долго возиться?
Ну… я думаю ,что еще будет возможность перефотографировать как ты хочешь. В следующем году такточно : )

Природа красива в любое время года, но особенно она хороша осенью. И это подтверждает твоя замечательная фотография. Молодец, Даня.
