The other day I was coming home from work while trying to keep the MPG as high as possible. I was really babying the gas pedal trying to keep the engine in 4 cylinder mode all the way.
My record of the day was 28.4 miles per gallon. Sadly as soon as you start doing some stop and go driving it all goes to hell. But nobody is surprised on this side of the keyboard. 
Of course this all is highly unscientific.

Ты ж вроде хотел машину с механической КПП.
Я как то пересев с автомата на механику, назад не вернусь.
Как у нее расход в литрах/100км. ?

Мой рекорд на Nissan Altima был 33 мили на галлон. Но при этом: она изначально 4-х цилиндровая
Совет: попробуй использовать Cruise Control, выставляй на малые обороты (2100-2200 rpms) и включай Cruise Control. Остановился, потом нажимаешь Resume. Экономия возрастает заметно!

Я так и делал.
Всё равно с ручной коробкой не сравнится — контроля почти никакого нет.
Не знаю какой мог получится рекорд — дорога кончилась.
