During our visit to Costa Rica we wanted to visit a type of Costa Rica that all of us had imagined in our minds — lush green rain forests. And that’s exactly what we have encountered on our way to Arenal Volcano National Park.

The area in central Costa Rica presents visitors with a vast contrast to the coastal regions. While near the coast everything seemed to be dead because of the heat and dryness the rain forests are rather cold with a lot of humidity in the air and are brimming with life.

The day that we went on our road trip was extremely foggy. We didn’t get to see the volcano at all because of it, but instead we were gifted with a lot of mysterious, covered in fog scenery.
