I did a lot of experimenting during our trip to Shenandoah and I came up with a number of interesting compositions, at least in my mind. This is one of them. I like how everything came together — color, bokeh, focus and something that I never did before — text. This is first of the many to come.

The hardest part here was to catch this dried up stem in focus. The wind was pretty strong and the auto-focus kept jumping to the wrong place. I switched to manual, which I do rather rarely, but it worked well this time.

As always, all the feedback is very much appreciated.
