It sounds really weird, I know, and we both find it hard to believe just yet.On the other hand we were planning it for a while now, and everything worked out almost as planned. During the Spring of 2009 we made a decision. We went to see a doctor to make sure everything is OK and Alena stopped taking birth-control pills and started taking vitamins.
Even though doctors said that there is no need to wait, we decided to make sure birth-control clears out of the system and waited 3 more month, before actually trying. Plus Alena has a list of signs that are preferable. 
First month was October (with due date to be in mid-July). At the end of the month she had a week delay, and we thought that we’re there. But she had her period after all and we were very disappointed.We figured from now on, whatever happens, happens. We’ll just try for a year (they say it’s normal to be trying for year for a couple of our age), and if by then nothing happens, then we’ll worry. My mom on the other hand said — next month you go to Hawaii, you’ll relax and everything will be fine. And guess what? The ovulation date fell right into the middle of our vacation. And thus 2 of us left, 3 of us came back.
We didn’t know it yet, but as you can see from Alena’s notes, we found out on December 8th, before the end of the 4th week even, which is super early. By now we’ve done all the important tests and so far everything looks very good. Our due date is August 15th, 2010 and we’re into our 14th week now.

Не знаю, найдешь ли ты эту книгу, но попробуй: “Up the duff” by Kaz Cooke (Австралия) – автор понедельно расписывает свою беременность и дает некоторый обзор того, что нужно знать или может пригодится. Мы с Сэмом вместе читали каждую неделю. Весело и эмоционально. Чувствуешь себя в два раза беременней.

Тань, baby shower мы делать не будем — не особо меня впечатляет эта местная традиция, да и напрягать никого не хочется.
Гурька, уже на самом деле осталось не 9, а чуть больше 6 месяцев.
Я посмотрю эту книгу онлайн — спасибо за совет. У меня уже имеется 4 pregnancy books и 2 iPhone applications — мы с Данькой тоже читаем понедельное развитие (думаю, это одно из любимых развлечений first time parents-to-be). А вообще надо поболтать по скайпу всё же!

Congratulations you two! Its been coming to this long time and am very happy to find out it had finally happened. Still remember you Daniel in college picking the courses and now going to see you Daniel the father. It should be something to get used to; but you two will do just fine, I just know it.
