We finally watched the long awaited movie made by one of the best Russian directors. We didn’t expect much, but I must say that we enjoyed the movie. It can rival best epics of Hollywood, and that doesn’t happen often with Russian made movies. The whole story, epic battles, soundtracks fits together perfectly. (3)

I also liked watching the movie in Mongolian language — it really added authenticity to the experience.
I was reading an interview with Bodrov, and was surprised to find out that before producing the movie he went to Mongolian shaman and got his blessing. It’s cool that he decided to go “traditional” in this way.

The Russian movie industry is indeed changing for the better. They’re also releasing more bad movies than before, but the beauty of it is that, unlike music, no one is forcing bad movies on you:)
I’ll have to watch this one when i get a chance.

русский кинематограф тожа хоча мировых грошиков, поэтому будет делать hollywood like films с элементами национальных особенностей.
посмотрим что из этого выйдет.
