Public speaking is important, I agree. I regret not having taken speech classes in high school.

Alex, I also regret that you didn’t take those classes. You suck at public speaking, and it really embarrasses me sometimes. Remember how badly your last press conference went?
BTW, it’s interesting to hear about the differences between US and other country’s colleges. I always hear that our colleges are becoming way worse–and I felt like that when I was in school too. My theory is that US colleges today will let you coast more than ever before, and get through with a B average while doing very little work. But if you apply yourself and are self-motivated, you maybe still get more out of it than you do in a lot of other places, just because of the variety and the resources that these schools have to draw on. I mean, my school had one of the largest library systems in the world among colleges, yet I hardly ever went there.

I honestly like going to college here more. My attitude changed a bit too though (I really want to learn something useful).
And school here definitely has more resources than the one in Minsk (which is normal, since US is wealthier than Belarus); for example I’m pretty impressed with our own little trading floor.
