A little bit more then a week is left in the year 2007. We’re making ourselves a holiday. We put up Christmas lights all over our living room a week ago and put up all kinds of New Year stuff around our apartment.

Yesterday we went out and bought a Christmas Tree for $50. Since this is our first New Year in our new home we wanted to get a real one. As always it really adds to the spirit of holidays with its look and especially smell.

Today we had a nice evening with friends. Lenchik, Alex and Maruks came over. We ate a small dinner and sat and talked for hours. For tomorrow Alena is cooking a Christmas dinner. We should remember to take some pictures.

Комната получилась очень милой. Думаю, очень уютно сидеть в ней по вечерам и не только.

The only time I played poker was with my friends. We played by the rules which we partially made up ourselves, and I miserably lost.

School is my wife’s thing, not mine.

Photography is just a hobby, which I enjoy a lot, but I’m just an amateur. I’m a software developer and development manager by profession.

Я тут Кузе на днях обещала рецептик чебуреков выслать. Так лучше я на блог поставлю — может, еще кому пригодится. Вообще-то этот рецепт я заметила на кукинге, но потом еще видела его на парочке сайтов. Копирую с кукинга, ибо смысла переписывать не вижу. Единственное изменение - я добавила в тесто только 1 столовую ложку масла. Жарила всё на оливковом масле первого отжима, и потом дала полежать на бумажных полотенцах, чтобы они впитали немного жира. Мне результат понравился. Дане и его родителям, вроде, тоже.

Эх, я бы сейчас тоже с боооольшим удовольствием упитонила бы парочку. Попрошу маму приготовить на Новогодние праздники : ) Боюсь, самой мне такие шедевры не под силу

Вот только что ж поела, но если бы была возможность, то слопала парочку бы с удовольствием! А готовить действительно не так страшно, как сначала кажется - надо пробовать, и обязательно что-нибудь получится. Это говорю я, которая раньше считала это дело ниже своего достоинства, а теперь жутко увлеклась. Вот что делает с людьми декретный отпуск

Even though my parents own the apartment already they can’t move in yet. All of us decided that it would be a good idea to get certain things done before moving in — redo the surface of the floors, replace the moldings along the walls, paint the walls non-white color and install the lighting in the form of 6 spot lights in the living room. I however added 1 more task — wiring up the apartment properly for TV and Internet so we wouldn’t have to run the wires all over the place when they can be hidden inside the walls now. Read more…

This year is almost over and New Year decorations are starting to appear all over the city. I think I’m ready to start getting into the holiday mood as well.

The year 2007 was a great year for us, as the one before. Many things happened, but probably the most important achievement of the year is the acquisition of our own apartment and the fact that our parents have finally took the same step. Yesterday they closed the deal on their own apartment in the same building as ours. A couple of weeks of minor fixes and we’re all hoping that they’ll be celebrating the New Year in their new home.

The lobby of our building is already full of decorations and it always fills me in with a kind of a warm feeling every time I come home. This is one of the main things that we need for complete happiness I think. The warms of the home. And luckily I have plenty of that.

Да, покупка собственного жилья - это очень важная веха. Рада, что вы через это уже прошли, можно расслабиться, потихоньку выплачивать кредит, наводить и наслаждаться домашним уютом.
А мне в следующем году все только предстоит После Нового года сразу и займусь.

Ну вот ведь любит народ прикалываться над забывчивыми мужьями! А я, наталкиваясь на подобные анекдоты, думаю, что Незабывчивость — это еще одно из многих достоинств моего драгоценного мужа.

Минут 30 назад в дверь позвонили. Даня искренне обеспокоился — кто бы это мог быть? Я, честно говоря, тоже не люблю неожиданные звонки в дверь. Оказывается, это был букет для меня!
