Polarizer Examples

Polarizer ExampleLast time when we were in Manhattan we stopped by B&H and bought a polarizer. We decided to buy it once, so we bought the expensive one with a diameter of 77mm with adapters. Basically one polarizer which will fit all of my lenses.

First couple of days the weather was cloudy and sun was nowhere to be found. I figured that we just bought a very expensive piece of glass that does nothing. However on Sunday before we drove out to Seven Lakes I took a couple of test shots. The difference is really astonishing. No amount of post-processing will make the image look the way polarizer does. Basically all the reflection from the leafs is gone which results in a much better contrast and saturation.

The image above has no post-processing of any kind. I just took a shot, turned the polarizer 90 degrees and took another one.
